Method version 1.0

Calculation methodology

Every BasisPilot result should be reproducible from the published formula, the entered values, and a stated rounding rule.

Calculation standards

Financial arithmetic uses a 32-digit decimal model. Internal values retain more precision than displayed values; formatting is applied only at the output boundary.

Recurring investment rates

We convert annual net returns to effective periodic rates: (1 + annual net rate)^(1 ÷ periods per year) − 1. We do not divide an annual rate by 12.

Fees and inflation

Management fees reduce the annual return assumption. Inflation-adjusted values divide the nominal ending value by compounded inflation over the selected horizon.

Position rounding

Share counts are rounded down. This prevents display rounding from producing a position above the selected risk or capital limit.

Review record
